This bracelet was handcrafted by Sharifah, an artisan of the Mabira Collective, a women-led social enterprise that provides stable employment to women in Uganda and supports a school for children with disabilities. By providing financial stability and educational opportunities, Mabira empowers women like Sharifah to become advocates for change in their communities. Mabira also offers health care, helps pay for school fees, and gives women the opportunity to learn, grow, and lead.
